TEASER TUESDAY

Teaser Tuesday is an intriguing meme started by Miz B over at Books and a Beat.

All you have to do is:

• Grab your current read

• Open to a random page

• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page

• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)

• Share the title & author, too, so that other Teaser Tuesday participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Teaser Tuesday

From Seanan McGuire’s A RED ROSE CHAIN, the ninth book in her October Daye UF series:

“Don’t you always have a problem? The day you don’t have a problem, you’ll probably decide that that’s a problem, and go looking for one.”

Even though it’s used as a jest, there is so much truth in that sentence: it’s not just because trouble likes to hunt down Toby, since more often than not she goes actively hunting for it, out of her own sense of justice and the need to protect the people she cares about.

I’ve waited some time before starting this latest installment in my favorite UF series – mostly because I was distracted by equally fascinating pretties – but now that I’m finally reading, I’m enjoying it very, very much…
