Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme where every Tuesday we look at a particular topic for discussion and use various (or more to the point, ten) bookish examples to demonstrate that particular topic. Top Ten Tuesday (created and hosted by The Broke and Bookish) is now being hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and future week’s topics can be found here.
It’s no secret that since I started book blogging most (if not all) of the recommendations I get come from my fellow bloggers, particularly those whose preferences are close to mine – although I have to admit that sometimes those very recommendations asked me to take a leap of faith and move away from my comfort zone, and when I did I was always rewarded with some amazing novel I would not have otherwise known.
So, besides listing a few of the books I read – and loved – thanks to other bloggers’ suggestions, I want to celebrate my fellow book lovers and their unending source of great advice 🙂
And this is just a small sample of the books I encountered thanks to some very inspired reviews I read: what about you?
I love this list, and I also have discovered some gems due to fellow bloggers’ recommendations! I am happy to say I’ve read ALL of these except Dreamer’s Pool:-)

What a lovely list – I’ve read Dreamer’s Pool, Red Rising, Certain Dark Things and Recursion. And many of these books are recommendations from other wonderful bloggers:))

My TBR has grown into a real “monster” thanks to the recommendations from my fellow bloggers but… who’s counting? 😉

I’m certainly not going to!

Wow, I’ve read all but one on this list. Definitely some good stuff here 😀

And I had to leave out many more, since the count went well beyond ten… 😉

I love Red Rising!! 😍 And our fellow bloggers are a never ending source of new books to read! It may not be good at all for our TBR and our sanity, but it does wonders for our mood! 😍

Sanity is vastly overrated 😀 and our TBRs have to learn to take the strain. Or ELSE! 😀 😀

My first Moreno-Garcia book, and the one that turned me into an instant fan… 🙂

I have only read one book on your list (Red Rising) and I loved it as well. Dreamer’s Pool and Certain Dark Things are both high on TBR! 🙂

I hope you get to read them soon: they are among my all-time favorites 🙂

I read and enjoyed both Recursion and Illuminae; so I think it’s safe to say that you’re definitely safe when it comes to those two, in my opinion. 😉 I’ve been dying to read Red Rising because of the community too though hahaah

The Red Rising trilogy is quite good: the first book suffers from some (very slight) “growing pains”, but after that it’s a breathless, very engrossing journey, so I hope you manage to add it to your TBR in the near future 🙂

My mom highly recommended ‘Recursion’ to me, I read ‘Dark Matter’ a while back but I barely remember it. I’ve read a few ‘Firefly’ graphic novels so far and they’re okay but they just don’t have the charm of the TV series.

I’ve read a few works based in Firefly – mainly some fanfiction I found through the Browncoats site – but the Lovegrove book is the first one whose “flavor” comes quite close to the series, and I hope to be able to read the other ones in the series as well. I miss the Serenity crew badly… 🙂

For me, other bloggers are my chief means of finding new books so I couldn’t agree more with your list.

Fellow bloggers are a definite threat to the size our TBRs, but who cares? 😀 😀
